San Diego Autism Society

Last night I went to the North County Autism Society parent support group. It's a great small group of parents who  can support you through whatever process you're at with your kids. The director of the north county group is ready to step down so she asked if I wanted to take over. I do! So for the next couple of months we'll see if I can do it while she shows me the ropes. Ya for mamma!

I've been a member for about a year and I've been looking for something I can so that is good for me and my family. This looks like it's just the ticket. Wish us luck!

The NEW Year

It's a new year! We all got a mild cold and I'm still recovering. Although the kids seem good. Mary starts gymnastics again today and that means Chick fil A tonight with daddy.

Here's Mary having some dinner with the Chick fil A cow.

I think my new year's resolution will be to keep up my blog. Although I don't think very many people read it. I also plan to do more with my meetup groups.

Also last week Ronin got another x-ray for his chest and the pulmonologist at Children's said that his lungs look clear! Ya! They just upped his dose of his Flovent so he takes it twice a day now. Basically I guess he has really bad asthma. And we'll have to keep an eye on it as he gets older.

School Pictures

Here's a little blurb about school pictures. I think it's awesome that I got Mary preschool pics. Not all preschools give you pictures. It took a while for them to come in. We took them at the beginning of October and we finally got them mid December. But here it is!

We had a couple to choose from but this one was the cutest!

And here's a pic of me from when I was Mary's age. Cute!

Thanksgiving and Christmas

So Thanksgiving was kind of a wash. We had an ok day but Mary was screaming all day and having a bunch of mini meltdowns. Then Rich was home from Thursday to Sunday but then I had to work all weekend. Yup I got a job at Best Buy for the holidays and have now been subsequently "let go" because I was hired as seasonal. I was told I'd probably get to stay on but I guess it's not to be. But I did earn enough money to pay for some car repairs and a vacation with the girls to Vegas! I would like to earn a little more money but ah well.

For the holidays we made Turkey Sugar Cookies. Which we saw on Nick Jr and Mary had to make them. They turned out pretty good.

We got to go to go to Legoland with Rich's family. That was pretty fun. Everyone joined in the rides and snow.

Then we had an early Christmas.

And we did actually make a gingerbread house this year courtesy of Target.
