The Holidays

The holidays are just around the corner and we're going up to northern california to visit with friends and family. Then we're going up to oregon to see more friends and family. Rich got some time off work to spend with us so we have a lot to be thankful for.

Mary's learning to sit up on her own. She's not quite there yet. She grabs for things now and likes her stuffed animals. She doesn't have a favorite yet but I'm sure she will. She babbles a lot and hates to be in her car seat. When we take her out sometimes I have to sit in the back and entertain her while rich drives.

She sticks her toungue out a lot when she smiles and she's learned to make the razzing sound with her lips and toungue. She does it all the time. It's quite funny. She still likes to stare at the celing fan. Mostly she does it in the morning when she wakes up. She hasn't started sucking her thumb yet but she does put her whole hand in her mouth and suck on that. Well it's time to eat breakfast. See ya'll again soon.

Still rolling over

Mary rolls over all the time now. Whenever we put her on her back she rolls onto her tummy automatically. She's sleeping less now and tries to stay awake and not take her naps. She'll get real cranky and start speaking loudly. She doesn't really cry that much, just babbles really loud. She went through a growth spurt last week but I'm not sure how big she is. She got weighed and measured at the doctors, but that was a few weeks ago. She's big enough to sit in her Bumbo. It's the green seat you see in her pictures. Apparently they got recalled because some kids were able to get out of them and hit their heads on the floor. However, Mary does fine in it and Carol Ann thouroughly tested it for us, so we're not to worried of Mary hopping out of it anytime soon.

She hasn't hit any more mildstones in the last couple of weeks. But she is eating her hand more now. I think she wants to find and suck her thumb but she hasn't yet. Hopefully she doesn't become a thumb sucker because I've heard that, that habit is hard to break. Also, her hair is getting longer. It'll be neat to see how it changes color. Her eyes are still blue so they may stay that way.

Even though Mary's not a ham, we have got a few good pictures of her smiling. Check them out on the website. http://babycurras.bravehost.com
We took some pictures for Halloween. We tried to dress M&M up as a pumpkin but she hated it. So we did get some pitures of her screaming. (The halloween picutures are under the
M&M 2 months photo album.) And we went to Wal-mart this month and got a few professional pictures taken. I'm not sure how they look, but it was very hard to get Mary to smile. She was hungry and they took a long time before they got us in. The pictures don't come in for another couple of weeks. I'll try to scan them into the computer when I get them.

Well Happy Holidays and we hope to see the family in the bay area (and Sacramento) at Thanksgiving.

Love, Mel and M&M (and of course Rich too)
